LCP has helped Santa after donating an empty shop unit so that he could meet the town’s youngsters at a Christmas fair.

As owner and manager of Royton Shopping Centre, Market Square, Royton retail parade in the town, we handed over the keys to the former Yorkshire Bank building, on 2-4 Market Square, so that Royton Community Christmas Group could host Father Christmas as part of the festive market on Saturday (November 25) at Royton Precinct.

Matt Pegg, asset manager, said: “We were more than happy to help out the group as it prepared its Christmas market by letting it use the former bank unit. We pride ourselves on working closely with the communities in which we have our properties and had no hesitation in offering the space.”

Councillor Barbara Brownridge, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Cooperatives said: “Our recent Christmas Market and lights switch-on event in Royton was a tremendous success, and it was fantastic to see so many families enjoying the festivities.

“What made the event even more special was seeing the smiles on all of our young residents’ faces when they met Santa Claus. We want to say a big thanks to LCP for working with us to provide an excellent venue for our grotto.”
