A beauty therapist has opened her first permanent premises in Dudley after building a loyal clientele in the town.

Sandeep Mattu has opened Unique Beauty at unit 3, Birdcage Walk, following four successful years at Unique Fitness, a ladies-only gym, in the town.

She said she was keen to relocate to the shop at the Churchill Shopping Centre, which is owned and managed by national commercial property and investment company LCP, because of its central location.

“I looked at a number of other units but they were a few miles away and I wanted to make sure that my existing clients could continue coming to me for their treatments,” she said.

“When I saw this particular shop, I knew it was ideal for my business and I’ve spent time getting it just right. I’m excited to now be open and am looking forward to welcoming old clients and new.”

Unique Beauty offers a wide range of treatments, including microblading, spray tans, massages, nails, waxing and lash extensions. Now she has her own premises, she is to introduce new services, such as microdermabrasion and LED light therapy.

Harriet Moloney, asset manager at LCP, said: “There’s a huge buzz around Dudley at the moment, with the proposed regeneration, so it’s becoming a magnet for local entrepreneurs who want to make their mark in the town.”

Harvey Pearson, director of Hexagon Commercial Property, which acted as LCP’s agent, added: “It’s great to see local, small business owners expanding their enterprises on their doorstep. We worked hard to make sure Sandeep’s move into her first permanent property went as smooth as possible.”
